Guyana adopting approach to tailor projects specific to needs and priorities, in alignment with regional realities and perspectives to achieve food security

Foreign Secretary Mr. Robert Persaud received a three-member team from the International Trade Center (ITC) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The team comprised Mr. Hernan Manson- Head of Inclusive Agribusiness Systems, Mr. Viwanou Gnassounou- Senior Advisor on Investment and Food Systems and Mr. Benjamin Morrison- Associate Programme Officer (Alliance for Action).

President Ali launches new book on Caribbean food security crisis

In a move towards addressing global hunger, President Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali released his latest book “Achieving Global Food Security: The Caribbean Experience and Beyond” at the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford in England on Saturday.

The book provides a holistic overview of the causes and challenges surrounding food security both globally and, in the Caribbean.

It explores a number of strategic policy recommendations to mitigate the issue.
